Apple iTunes Ping has 1 million users within 2 days of launch!

Apple has revealed that their newly launched social networking service Ping has already gained a million users without 2 days of launch.

Ping is not a regular social network as it comes integrated into the Apple iTunes application.

There is no web based front-end though users can connect to it using their iOS devices.

The company said: “One-third of the people who have downloaded iTunes 10 have joined Ping.”

Apple iTunes has a total user base of around 160 million people in 23 countries. It remains to be seen how many of them join Ping in the future
